So yesterday was my first day of preparing for Ms. B to arrive next week. If you haven’t read my previous blogs, Ms B. is short for Ms.Bitch Face. She is my woman visitor I get every month. She’s mean. She eats like a fucking monster. She has no patience and she likes to inflict pain on me. When I told my mom that I call my period Ms. Bitch Face, my mom said, “Oh mijita don’t call her that; maybe she just needs tenderness and love; maybe you should call her Ms. Flower.” Well I tried to be nice to her and patient with her and love her and wear flowers around my belly for her and sing lullabies to her but it didn’t work! She’s an Asshole! I did compromise and abbreviate her name to Ms. B. So I’m having a really hard time staying motivated. I want to eat big everything bagels with a tub of cream cheese, NY style. I want chocolate, lots and lots of chocolate. I want a big fat deli sandwich on an everything bagel. I just want to eat and I don’t want to exercise. I need to pick and choose my battles and find creative ways to pamper myself without food. Lord help me.
I went for a short run this morning and it felt really great. My training schedule had me running two miles and I did exactly that. I don’t need to push myself all the time. I had to go out for my run at 6:30 this morning because E Berg needed to leave for work at 7:30. It’s amazing to see how many people are out and exercising. It was really inspiring. Tomorrow I’m going to do some cross training and walking at the track, that sounds nice.
